Job Overview:

A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Attorney Specialist to join its Asset Management and Investment Funds (AMIF) practice group. This non-partnership track, permanent position is ideal for attorneys with 5 to 10 years of experience in asset management law. The role focuses on supporting mutual fund and ETF filings, overseeing new fund launches, updating registration statements, reviewing shareholder reports, preparing board materials, and conducting research on matters under the 1940 Act. The position offers an opportunity to collaborate with partners and associates on high-profile client matters within a growing and specialized area of law.

Location:

  • Harrisburg, PA.

Duties:

  • Assist with mutual fund and ETF filings and regulatory compliance.
  • Support new fund launches and review/prepare fund registration statements.
  • Draft and review mutual fund shareholder reports.
  • Prepare materials for mutual fund boards and committees.
  • Conduct research related to the 1940 Act and other relevant regulations.
  • Collaborate with partners and associates on major client matters.
  • Manage projects efficiently and ensure high-quality service.

Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in asset management and investment funds law.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong academic background and excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in regulatory matters, particularly under the 1940 Act.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Strong commitment to long-term professional growth in asset management law.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the bar of the state of practice.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Expertise in mutual fund and ETF filings, registration, and compliance.
  • Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
