Job Title: General Litigation And Product Liability Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm based in White Plains, NY, is looking for an experienced and highly motivated General Litigation and Product Liability Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have 3-8 years of experience handling general litigation and product liability matters and will possess strong analytical, communication, and legal research skills. Duties:

• Manage general litigation and product liability cases from start to finish, both independently and with guidance from senior attorneys.
• Review case files, analyze claims, and identify potential causes of action.
• Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and case-related correspondence.
• Attend depositions, court appearances, motion hearings, and mediations.
• Prepare for trials and assist in trial-related tasks.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and provide clear, actionable advice to clients.
• Work with expert witnesses, including retaining and collaborating on case strategies.
• Lead settlement negotiations and participate in alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure adherence to client guidelines.
• Collaborate with attorneys and legal support staff to ensure timely case progress.
• Accurately track billable hours and meet all deadlines.

Requirements:

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York (additional admissions in NJ, CT, and/or PA are a plus).
• Federal court experience is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 3-8 years of experience in general litigation and product liability law.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills; the ability to produce precise and error-free work.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York State (Additional state licenses are a plus).
