Job Overview: A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented attorney to join our litigation team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will assist in handling complex litigation matters for national and regional clients, primarily in the CCLD track of the Superior Court and Court of Chancery and other Delaware state and federal courts.

Duties:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues related to litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
  • Manage discovery processes, including drafting discovery requests and responses, conducting document reviews, and preparing discovery motions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and litigation teams on case strategy and management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Delaware Bar is preferred. Candidates willing to take the Delaware Bar Exam will also be considered.
  • Experience in complex litigation, preferably with exposure to the Delaware Court of Chancery and Superior Court's Complex Commercial Litigation Division (CCLD).
  • Strong academic credentials and demonstrated legal research and writing skills.
  • Experience with motion practice, oral advocacy, and eDiscovery.
