A law firm seeks an experienced Litigation Attorney to join its Labor & Employment department in Las Vegas, NV. This role provides the opportunity to handle a wide array of labor and employment law matters, working with sophisticated clients on innovative and complex legal issues. The position offers a collaborative environment, direct client interaction, and significant responsibilities in litigation, all within a flexible hybrid work schedule.

Duties

  • Handle labor and employment litigation matters involving wage and hour disputes, workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, and other employment-related issues.
  • Engage in all aspects of civil litigation, including discovery, pleadings, motions, depositions, trials, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide strategic legal counsel and preventative advice to clients on labor and employment matters.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop defense strategies and effectively communicate legal options.
  • Take on significant responsibility for managing and leading cases, ensuring efficient case management and resolution.
  • Participate in formal mentorship, training, and development programs to enhance legal skills and career growth.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of civil litigation experience.
  • Prior experience in labor and employment law is highly preferred.
  • Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and client-facing abilities.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic legal environment.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active law license in good standing in the state of Nevada.
