A law firm in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Senior Discovery Attorney to lead eDiscovery efforts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and optimizing processes to achieve favorable case outcomes. The role involves collaboration with internal teams and clients to develop efficient workflows and provide strategic guidance throughout all phases of discovery.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with eMerge attorneys, technologists, case teams, and clients to design and manage case-specific eDiscovery workflows and protocols.
  • Oversee and ensure the quality of work and deliverables produced by eMerge Discovery Attorneys, Project Attorneys, technologists, and service providers to maintain consistency, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Advise and support case teams and clients on all phases of discovery, including preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI).
  • Provide expertise in pre-litigation information governance, post-production deposition and witness preparation, and trial preparation as needed.
  • Stay abreast of developments in eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Utilize expertise with Relativity or similar eDiscovery platforms to manage and analyze large volumes of data effectively.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, in good standing.
  • 5-7 years of experience in eDiscovery, preferably in a law firm setting.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of eDiscovery laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tools for preservation, filtering, and exporting data.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to handle complex legal and technical concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar.
