Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Reston, VA, is seeking a Senior Litigation Attorney to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in litigation, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage complex legal matters effectively.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with clients, legal professionals, and third parties.
• Produce high-quality litigation documents, including motions to dismiss, written discovery, and summary judgment motions.
• Represent clients in state and federal courts, including appearances and arguing motions.
• Handle multi-district litigation cases preferred.
• Maintain adherence to firm policies and practices.
• Engage in physical and sedentary activities such as computer work, digital/virtual conferences, and meetings.
• Complete assigned tasks and projects efficiently and accurately.
• Foster positive relationships within the firm and with external parties.

Requirements:

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Virginia Bar.
• Minimum 6 years of litigation experience.
• Proven experience in drafting litigation documents and courtroom appearances.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in project management and sound business judgment.
