A prominent law firm in Albany, New York, is seeking a Matrimonial/Family Law Associate Attorney with a minimum of 2 years of experience to join its matrimonial and family law practice group. The firm specializes in various areas, including divorce, separation, premarital agreements, property division, child support, spousal support, custody, and adoption. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to client advocacy and a thorough understanding of family law principles.

Duties:

• Represent clients in divorce and custody proceedings, ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
• Draft and negotiate legal documents, including petitions, motions, and agreements related to family law matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare for court hearings and trials.
• Provide legal advice to clients regarding their family law issues.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to manage caseload efficiently.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice in New York.
• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in matrimonial and family law.
• Strong academic credentials and excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines effectively.

Education:

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
