Criminal Defense Attorney

A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to provide proactive client care and exceptional service in handling cases. Candidates with experience in Texas Criminal Law are preferred, and candidates must be licensed to practice law in Texas.

Duties:

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, trials, and appeals.
• Conduct legal research to develop case strategies and arguments.
• Interview clients, witnesses, and law enforcement personnel to gather evidence and information.
• Negotiate plea deals with prosecutors and advocate for clients' interests in court.
• Prepare and file legal documents, motions, and briefs in a timely manner.
• Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process.
• Maintain confidentiality and attorney-client privilege at all times.
• Stay updated on changes in criminal law and court procedures.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing.
• Experience in Texas Criminal Law is preferred.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.

Education:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
