Duties:

  • Provide direct legal counsel to clients, advising them on case progress, strategy, and potential outcomes
  • Review and approve pleadings such as petitions, summons, notices, discovery requests, motions, and subpoenas for filing
  • Draft motions and non-standard pleadings, and conduct legal research as needed
  • Supervise and manage the progress of assigned cases
  • Prepare for and attend court hearings and trials
  • Accurately bill for time and meet established billing quotas
  • Review financial disclosures for accuracy and completeness before filing with the court
  • Review opposing parties' financial disclosures to ensure compliance

Requirements:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Florida (required)
  • 1-3 years of experience in family law
  • Ability to work in an office setting with flexibility in work hours
  • Strong understanding of family law procedures, including case management and litigation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the Florida State Bar

Skills:

  • Strong legal drafting, research, and case management skills
  • Ability to handle emotionally sensitive cases with professionalism
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Strong courtroom presence and litigation experience
