Duties:

  • Handle litigation and regulatory matters related to federal and state environmental laws.
  • Provide legal counsel on environmental permitting, renewable energy development, and environmental due diligence.
  • Assist in environmental enforcement actions and advise on contaminated properties.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on complex environmental issues.
  • Draft legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and agreements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients to develop effective legal strategies.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in environmental law, with a focus on litigation and/or regulatory matters.
  • Strong understanding of federal and state environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York Bar or Washington, D.C. Bar.
  • Prior experience in environmental permitting, renewable energy development, or related areas is preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues and work effectively under pressure.
