Job Overview:
A growing law firm is seeking an Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its dynamic team in Fort Worth, TX. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a recent law school graduate or someone with limited experience in immigration law to gain invaluable experience. As an Associate Attorney, you will work closely with experienced attorneys, manage a caseload, and handle client interactions while contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment.

Location:

  • Fort Worth, TX

Duties:

  • Explain complex immigration concepts and provide strategic legal solutions
  • Represent non-detained and detained individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)
  • Manage caseload and ensure timely and accurate case progression
  • Visit and conduct intakes with detained individuals at detention centers
  • Prepare various immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based immigration petitions
  • Review immigration applications/packets, making necessary adjustments
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law changes
  • Meet with potential clients for strategic immigration consultations and determine case strategies
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
  • Provide legal analysis for clients to identify potential case benefits
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in Immigration Law (preferred)
  • Ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward
  • Team-oriented, with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian Relief, EOIR, Detained Cases, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and client-focused mindset

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the State Bar (Texas or relevant state)

  • Proficiency in immigration law and various immigration processes
