Trademark Associate

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking a Trademark Associate with at least two years of experience to join its trademark team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in trademark searching, prosecution, strategy development, and enforcement, with a strong emphasis on both domestic and international trademark law. Location:

Duties:

• Conduct trademark searches and provide search reviews.
• Develop global trademark strategies for clients.
• Manage both domestic and international trademark prosecution.
• Oversee trademark enforcement, including demand letters, online marketplace monitoring, and takedown requests.
• Represent clients in TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) and UDRP (Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy) proceedings.
• Provide legal opinions and advice on trademark portfolio management and trademark law.
• Draft and review trademark-related legal documents, including applications, cease-and-desist letters, and agreements.
• Collaborate with teams across various practice areas to offer business-oriented solutions for clients.

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in trademark law.
• Experience in trademark searching, strategy development, and prosecution.
• Hands-on experience with trademark enforcement, online enforcement, TTAB, and UDRP proceedings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• Strong client-facing skills with the ability to manage a trademark portfolio.
• Foreign language skills are not required but are highly valued.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the bar of the relevant jurisdiction(s), or eligibility for admission.

Certifications:

• Bar admission in the relevant jurisdiction(s), or eligibility for reciprocity.

• In-depth knowledge of trademark law and intellectual property.
• Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills.
• Expertise in trademark prosecution, enforcement, and strategy.
• Experience in international trademark matters.
