Duties

• Conduct in-depth legal research to assess potential civil rights cases.

• Manage civil rights litigation from inception to resolution, including drafting pleadings, overseeing discovery, and preparing legal motions.

• Take and defend depositions, as well as represent clients in court hearings.

• Work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, including incarcerated individuals.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to develop case strategies.

Requirements

• Active license to practice law.

• 2-5 years of litigation experience, preferably in civil rights or constitutional law.

• Strong legal research and writing skills, with an emphasis on drafting complex motions.

• Experience in depositions, court hearings, and appeals.

• Demonstrated passion for civil rights advocacy and legal reform.

• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to CA State Bar with active standing.
