Job Title: Entry-Level Immigration Attorney

Job Overview:
An established law firm located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Immigration Attorney to join its team. Duties:

• Explain immigration concepts and provide strategic legal solutions to clients
• Represent detained and non-detained individuals in immigration court proceedings and appeals
• Manage a diverse caseload of immigration cases
• Conduct intake and consultations with detained individuals in detention centers
• Prepare and submit immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
• Review and make necessary adjustments to immigration application packets
• Work with law enforcement, prosecutorial offices, and community organizations on immigration law updates
• Meet with clients for strategic consultations and develop case strategies
• Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS testimony
• Draft and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in Immigration Law
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to move legal cases forward and manage a caseload effectively
• Experience with family-based petitions, humanitarian cases, EOIR, detained cases, citizenship, and other USCIS applications

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Admission to the Bar

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar (required)

Skills:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• Proficient in case management software (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate on case strategy
