A law firm in North Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Senior Personal Injury Trial Attorney to advocate for clients, provide legal counsel, and mentor junior associates. The candidate will leverage their trial experience to manage cases effectively and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for clients in personal injury cases and advise on legal strategies.
  • Manage a significant caseload and ensure timely progression of cases.
  • Mentor and supervise junior associates to enhance their legal skills and professional development.
  • Stay updated on changes to local, state, and federal laws and statutes affecting personal injury cases.
  • Argue motions and represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Counsel associates to resolve conflicts and maintain ethical standards.
  • Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, notices, and discovery requests/responses.
  • Attend trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings to represent clients effectively.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state and local Bar associations in good standing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a senior associate in the legal industry, with a focus on personal injury litigation.
  • Proven track record of representing clients in trials, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to mentor and collaborate with junior associates.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client communication and legal advocacy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification or specialization in personal injury law.
  • Experience in managing and supervising legal teams.
  • Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.
