Job Overview: A well-established law firm is looking for a skilled and driven Litigation Career Associate Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join its dynamic litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to trial teams, manage long-term projects, and assist in staffing and communication within the group. You will work closely with partners and practice lawyers to enhance team efficiency, support new team members, and ensure the strategic goals of the litigation department are met.

Duties:

  • Manage trial calendars and contribute to trial teams
  • Assist in staffing decisions for the litigation group
  • Prepare client communications and develop thought leadership materials such as newsletters, business development pitches, and client presentations
  • Oversee long-term projects and ensure alignment with team goals
  • Collaborate with practice group leaders and supervising partners to identify staffing needs
  • Work with the innovation team to assign resources to appropriate tasks
  • Support the integration of new lawyers and maintain a smooth transition within the team
  • Assist with witness preparation for depositions and trial preparation
  • Draft and review legal documents such as briefs, motions, and discovery materials
  • Handle discovery tasks, including e-discovery

Requirements:

  • At least 7 years of litigation experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects effectively
  • Proven experience in managing and prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative, cross-functional team setting
  • Strong interpersonal and client-facing skills

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California

Skills:

  • Expertise in drafting briefs, motions, and other legal documents
  • Experience with e-discovery and document management
  • Outstanding project management and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills for a wide range of audiences
  • Ability to handle complex litigation matters efficiently
