Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage Second Request (2R) compliance processes for mergers and acquisitions.
  • Oversee and guide a team of associates and contract attorneys in 2R reviews.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on antitrust and merger-related matters.
  • Draft and review mergers-related legal documents, including filings and submissions to regulatory agencies.
  • Provide strategic advice on antitrust issues and merger-related transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Stay updated on antitrust law and regulation changes, particularly those impacting the tech and life sciences sectors.
  • Represent the firm in negotiations and meetings with regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of antitrust strategies for complex transactions.

Requirements:

  • 1-6 years of relevant experience in mergers and antitrust law.
  • Demonstrated experience with Second Request compliance and 2R reviews.
  • Experience in the tech and life sciences sectors is preferred.
  • Superior academic credentials.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex tasks and lead a team effectively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in Washington, DC (or eligible for admission).
