A law firm seeks a highly skilled Real Estate Attorney with three or more years of experience to join its Columbus, OH office. The attorney will represent owners of commercial real estate in various transactions, including development, purchase, sale, and financing of properties such as office buildings, biotech labs, and apartment complexes. The role also involves working with lenders on commercial loans, advising landlords and tenants on leasing matters, and negotiating joint venture agreements. This is an exciting opportunity for attorneys who excel in managing complex real estate transactions and seek to work on nationwide projects.

Duties:

  • Represent commercial real estate owners in transactions involving development, acquisition, sale, and financing of office, medical office, biotech lab, and apartment properties.
  • Collaborate with lenders on commercial loan transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and financial requirements.
  • Draft and negotiate commercial lease agreements for landlords and tenants.
  • Negotiate and draft joint venture agreements and prepare equity syndication documents.
  • Supervise and manage complex real estate transactions from initiation through completion.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare transactional documents, contracts, and agreements.
  • Work on real estate transactions across different states, coordinating with other legal professionals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial real estate law, including high-level transactions.
  • Proven ability to manage complex real estate deals, including acquisitions, sales, and financing.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities for negotiating agreements and structuring deals.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Ohio.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in commercial real estate law, leasing, and financing transactions.
  • Strong negotiation skills for joint ventures, leases, and real estate agreements.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple transactions.
