Duties

• Represent detained and non-detained individuals in removal proceedings before Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals

• Conduct client intakes, including at detention centers, and develop legal strategies tailored to each case

• Prepare, review, and submit immigration applications, including family-based petitions and waivers

• Collaborate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and community organizations regarding changes in immigration law

• Meet with potential clients for consultations and advise on eligibility and legal pathways

• Prepare clients and witnesses for court and USCIS interviews

• Draft and file legal briefs, motions, and supporting documentation for various immigration cases

• Manage a personal caseload while collaborating with a team of attorneys and legal assistants

Requirements

• 1 to 4 years of experience in immigration law

• Proven ability to manage and advance a caseload independently

• Team-oriented approach with willingness to support fellow attorneys and staff

• Experience in removal defense, family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, citizenship, and detained cases

• Familiarity with USCIS processes and EOIR proceedings

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred

• Experience with immigration case management software preferred

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in any U.S. state (in good standing)
