Duties:

• Analyze and resolve complex legal and factual issues by conducting thorough legal research and formulating defense strategies.
• Draft complex pleadings, discovery documents, motions, and briefs to support the development of defense strategies.
• Communicate effectively with clients, insurance carriers, and claims personnel, providing them with legal advice and updates on case progress.
• Interact professionally with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and colleagues to ensure smooth case handling.
• Take charge of case management and ensure the timely, efficient, and effective resolution of assigned cases.
• Represent clients at trials, hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions, including the preparation and presentation of witnesses and evidence.

Requirements:

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active admission to the Bar in the state of practice (additional Bar admissions in states like PA, DE, or WV are a plus).
• At least 1 year of experience in insurance defense or a related field.
• Proven litigation experience, including taking and defending depositions, preparing and filing discovery and motions, and providing oral arguments.
• Excellent writing skills and the ability to prepare clear and persuasive legal documents.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of work quality.
• A proactive and dependable work ethic with a focus on client service and legal excellence.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active admission to the Bar in the applicable state (additional Bar admissions a plus).

Skills:

• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently.
