Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a highly skilled and driven Litigation Attorney to join its team in Boca Raton, Florida. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in personal injury litigation, trial proceedings, and client advocacy. This role focuses exclusively on litigation, allowing attorneys to refine their trial skills without the burden of pre-suit casework or business development responsibilities. Duties:

• Oversee and manage a caseload of 35-40 litigation files from inception to trial resolution.

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and trial documents.

• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.

• Develop case strategies and advise clients on litigation processes.

• Collaborate with paralegals and legal assistants to prepare cases for trial.

• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation sessions.

• Engage in motion practice, including filing and arguing motions in court.

• Conduct fact and expert witness depositions.

• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and legal counsel.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience with a focus on personal injury cases.

• First-chair trial experience required.

• Strong courtroom presence and ability to handle all aspects of trial litigation.

• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.

• Ability to manage a high caseload in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.

• Familiarity with SmartAdvocate® or other case management software is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
