A law firm located in Belleville, IL is seeking a skilled Litigation Family Law Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing family law cases from inception through resolution, providing exceptional client service, and demonstrating expertise in family law litigation. The candidate must be licensed to practice in Illinois and have a proven track record of handling family law matters as the lead attorney.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage family law cases from beginning to end, ensuring timely and effective handling of all legal matters.
  • Provide superior customer service to clients, including regular monthly status reports and weekly reviews of case progress.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to practice managers to enhance case management processes and client service.
  • Utilize practice quality software to manage performance metrics, track accomplishments, and measure client satisfaction.
  • Represent clients in family law matters, including divorce, child custody, child support, and domestic relations issues.
  • Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research, gather evidence, and prepare cases for trial.
  • Negotiate settlements and advocate clients' interests in court.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited university.
  • Passed the Bar Exam on the first attempt.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a focus on family law.
  • Demonstrated 1st chair experience in family law cases.
  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Illinois.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technical programs and software.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Illinois Bar and licensed to practice law in Illinois.
