Job Overview: A law firm in Riverside, CA, seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will assist in handling a diverse caseload, including client consultations, legal research, drafting documents, and representing clients in court proceedings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to discuss legal issues, provide legal advice, and represent them in various legal proceedings.
  • Review client matters, conduct legal research, and analyze case documents to develop strategies.
  • Draft various legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and agreements.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and other dispute resolution proceedings.
  • Maintain communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel to facilitate case progression.
  • Assist senior attorneys in trial preparation and case management activities.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of California (must have successfully passed the California Bar exam).
  • Experience practicing law, preferably in civil litigation, family law, or a related field.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficiency in legal software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in conducting depositions and negotiations.
  • Knowledge of procedural and substantive law in relevant practice areas.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
