Job Overview

A prominent law firm seeks a Senior Associate with 6–8 years of experience to join its Asset-Backed Finance team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in asset-backed finance transactions, advising clients such as issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and collateral managers in structured finance offerings. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to a growing, innovative practice supporting a range of sophisticated clients in the financial sector.

Duties

  • Handle asset-backed finance transactions for diverse clients, including financial institutions, startups, and first-time issuers.
  • Advise on all aspects of structured finance offerings, including the preparation of transaction documents.
  • Work closely with issuers, underwriters, placement agents, and collateral managers.
  • Contribute to implementing and managing securitization platforms in the market.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members to deliver innovative legal solutions in structured finance.

Requirements

  • 6–8 years of experience in asset-backed finance transactions.
  • Proven ability to advise on structured finance offerings for a variety of stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of securitization platforms and related legal frameworks.
  • Admission to practice law and good standing in the jurisdiction where the position is based.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active Bar membership in the applicable jurisdiction.

Skills

  • Expertise in structured and asset-backed finance.
  • Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
