Job Overview:

A leading law firm is seeking a skilled Employment Litigation Attorney with at least 5 years of experience to join its team. The role focuses on defending wage and hour disputes, employment discrimination cases, and other labor law matters. The firm is open to offering part-time or hourly work options.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Defend federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions
  • Handle investigations by agencies such as the U.S. Department of Labor, California Department of Industrial Relations, and EEOC
  • Represent clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on issues related to union organizing, collective bargaining, and unfair labor practices
  • Manage employment litigation cases in both federal and state courts
  • Provide counsel on employment discrimination, workplace harassment, and traditional labor law matters

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of employment litigation experience
  • Strong background in defending wage and hour cases, including class actions
  • Experience handling investigations by state and federal labor agencies
  • Experience with NLRB matters, including union elections and collective bargaining
  • Admitted to practice law in California
  • JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California State Bar

Skills:

  • Proficiency in managing employment litigation and wage/hour disputes
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills
  • Experience with federal and state labor regulations and agencies
  • Excellent communication and client management abilities
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
