A law firm seeks a dedicated Real Estate/Land Use Attorney to join its prestigious commercial and residential real estate and land use team in Allentown. The ideal candidate will have substantial real estate experience and a commitment to excellence in representing clients in complex land use and zoning matters.

Duties:

  • Represent owners and developers in land use and zoning proceedings, including applications, hearings, and appeals.
  • Advise clients on eminent domain issues, real estate acquisitions and sales, and commercial leasing.
  • Handle tax assessment appeals and related real estate disputes.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and development agreements.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on real estate and land use issues.
  • Provide strategic counsel to clients on land use planning, zoning compliance, and regulatory matters.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure comprehensive legal services for clients.

Requirements:

  • 2-6 years of relevant experience in real estate law and land use matters.
  • Active member of the Pennsylvania Bar in good standing; New Jersey Bar membership preferred.
  • Strong academic credentials with a J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues, demonstrating professional client interaction skills.
  • Ability to independently manage projects, take ownership of cases, and work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with strong analytical and organizational skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Certification in Real Estate Law or related specialization is a plus.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software related to real estate and land use law.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to draft and review complex legal documents.
  • In-depth understanding of zoning laws, land use regulations, and eminent domain procedures.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while managing individual responsibilities effectively.
