Job Overview:

A law firm seeks a Health Care Attorney with a strong foundation in corporate and regulatory health care law. The ideal candidate will have experience advising clients on compliance with federal and state health care regulations and possess a thorough understanding of industry-specific legal frameworks. This role requires exceptional analytical skills, the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly, and a commitment to providing outstanding client service.

Duties:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Advise clients on health care laws and regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark Law, HIPAA/HITECH, EMTALA, HCQIA/peer review, Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and state licensing requirements.
  • Corporate Health Care Law: Provide counsel on the corporate structure and business operations of health care entities to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential legal risks and develop proactive solutions for health care organizations and professionals.
  • Policy Review & Implementation: Assist clients in establishing policies and best practices for regulatory compliance.
  • Contract Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate agreements related to health care transactions, employment arrangements, and vendor contracts.
  • Litigation Support (Preferred): Assist with legal disputes, administrative proceedings, or government investigations when necessary.
  • Client Advocacy: Maintain strong professional relationships, ensuring timely and responsive legal support.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in health care law with a focus on corporate and regulatory matters.
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state health care regulations, compliance obligations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong legal research and analytical skills to interpret complex health care laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • Litigation experience is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality legal services and client-focused solutions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania (must be in good standing).

Skills:

  • Expertise in health care regulatory and corporate law.
  • Strong contract negotiation and drafting abilities.
  • Effective client communication and relationship management.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve complex legal issues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
