A reputable law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a skilled and experienced Private Credit Associate Attorney to join its team. This role focuses on providing legal expertise in private credit and finance matters, with an emphasis on complex financing transactions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in lending and a versatile skill set across various finance-related legal services.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice on private credit and finance matters.
  • Manage diverse financing transactions, including cash flow deals, acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and recapitalizations.
  • Represent and advise clients, particularly in borrower-side financing (experience in lender-side exposure is an asset).
  • Handle asset-based financings, restructurings, and workouts when required.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate financing agreements and legal documents.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth transaction processes.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in private credit or finance matters within a well-regarded law firm or equivalent legal setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in lending; borrower-side expertise is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to handle a variety of financing structures and legal complexities in the finance industry.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admittance to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility to waive into Texas.

Certifications:

  • State Bar of Texas (or eligibility for admittance).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex financing documents.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
