A law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation And Insurance Recovery Associate Attorney for its Richmond, VA, location.

Job Overview:

The Associate Attorney will handle all phases of discovery, conduct research, provide writing support, and assist in hearings.

Duties:

  • Manage all phases of discovery processes.
  • Conduct legal research related to commercial litigation and insurance recovery matters.
  • Provide writing support for legal documents, including briefs, motions, and pleadings.
  • Assist in hearings and court proceedings.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
  • Participate in negotiation sessions.

Requirements:

  • 1-4 years of experience in complex commercial litigation, preferably in state and federal courts.
  • Strong academic credentials with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admitted to the Virginia State Bar or eligible for admission via reciprocity.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Highly organized with the capability to handle a large volume of cases.
  • Good negotiation skills.

Education & Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Virginia State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
