Duties:

• Handle a diverse caseload of workers’ compensation matters from inception to resolution

• Partner with senior litigators to develop legal strategies and advise clients on risk mitigation

• Conduct in-depth legal research and prepare thoughtful coverage analyses

• Take sworn statements and conduct Examinations Under Oath (EUOs)

• Draft pleadings, discovery responses, and motions in complex coverage and bad-faith disputes

• Participate in deposition and trial preparation

• Manage pre-litigation liability evaluations, including medical and billing reviews

• Participate in early resolution efforts through negotiation and mediation

• Maintain organized, current client files for internal team coordination

• Contribute to broader firm initiatives and special assignments as needed

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Florida

• Demonstrated experience or interest in workers’ compensation or insurance defense

• Ability to meet expected performance metrics and case milestones

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client-facing work

• Comfortable working both autonomously and within a collaborative legal team

• Skilled in managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar

Skills:
