A law firm in Oakland, CA is seeking a Business Immigration Associate Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with Legal Assistants, Paralegals, Team Managers, Partners, and other Associates to prepare and file a range of business-related non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions. This role involves leading client communication, overseeing legal support teams, and ensuring accurate and timely case management.

Duties:

  • Prepare and file various business-related non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions.
  • Lead client communication, addressing business immigration needs and options.
  • Work closely with Legal Assistants, Paralegals, Team Managers, Partners, and Associates to develop and implement case strategies.
  • Conduct high-level case reviews of work performed by legal support teams.
  • Analyze client needs and communicate options for addressing business immigration requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely communication with clients throughout the application process.
  • Supervise and collaborate with supporting staff to ensure correct preparation and filing of applications.
  • Manage high-volume, rapid turnover cases with precision.
  • Provide support to clients and staff with inquiries during the filing process.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of business immigration experience in an associate attorney position, or 3+ years of business immigration experience in a paralegal or equivalent role.
  • Valid membership in an applicable Bar association.
  • Proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Valid membership in an applicable Bar association.

Skills:

  • Proven expertise in business immigration law and procedures.
  • Strong client communication and management abilities.
  • Proficiency in preparing and filing non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions.
