Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough legal research and provide strategic guidance on case developments.

  • Draft, review, and respond to legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.

  • Assist in case preparation by analyzing evidence, preparing legal arguments, and organizing documentation.

  • Participate in depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations.

  • Manage case timelines, ensuring deadlines and procedural requirements are met.

  • Engage in direct communication with clients, colleagues, court personnel, and opposing counsel.

  • Attend hearings, trials, and other court proceedings to advocate for clients effectively.

  • Support trial preparation efforts, including witness interviews, exhibit organization, and courtroom strategy.

  • Take on increasing litigation responsibilities, with the long-term goal of independently handling witness examinations and courtroom advocacy.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar and be in good standing.

  • 2-4 years of experience, preferably with 1-3 years of experience in civil litigation.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess legal issues and develop compelling arguments.

  • Exceptional writing and research skills with the ability to craft persuasive legal documents.

  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and court officials.

  • Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced legal environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a legal team.

  • Self-motivated and eager to take on complex cases with a proactive approach to litigation.
