Job Overview:
A prestigious law firm in Orlando, FL, is currently seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with a focus on Employment Law. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing civil and employment-related litigation cases from start to finish. This role offers a dynamic work environment where the attorney will be responsible for handling a variety of employment and commercial matters, as well as representing clients in both federal and state courts.

Duties:

  • Manage a diverse caseload involving civil, employment, and commercial litigation.
  • Handle employment law cases related to Title VII, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and other state and federal statutes.
  • Provide expert counsel on employment law, regulations, and legal precedents at the federal, state, and local levels.
  • Represent clients in federal and state courts, including preparing pleadings, conducting depositions, attending mediations, and making court appearances.
  • Handle cases from initiation through resolution, ensuring a seamless process for clients.
  • Collaborate with other legal professionals to develop case strategies and perform legal research.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation, with a focus on employment law.
  • Florida Bar membership is required.
  • Extensive experience in both Federal and State Court litigation.
  • Proven expertise in legal research and drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Must be comfortable managing a full caseload, with a commitment to client satisfaction.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, with the ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to bill a minimum of 35+ hours per week.
  • Experience handling cases from inception to resolution, including mediation and settlement negotiations.
  • An existing book of business is a plus but not mandatory.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the Florida Bar.

Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong litigation skills and experience in both federal and state courts.
  • Ability to think critically and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • High-level negotiation and mediation skills.
