Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Location: Spokane, WA

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate Attorney to join its growing team in Spokane. This exciting opportunity is ideal for a driven attorney eager to develop expertise in commercial and employment litigation. While prior experience in commercial, employment, copyright, or trademark litigation is advantageous, it is not mandatory. The firm offers a collaborative and supportive environment, where associates are mentored by experienced partners and have the potential for growth towards partnership.

Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive legal counsel in complex commercial and employment litigation matters.
  • Handle state and federal court motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and appeals.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research and analysis to support case strategy and client objectives.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, and discovery.
  • Work closely with senior attorneys and clients to shape case strategy and ensure effective legal representation.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys across multiple offices, fostering a dynamic and engaging work environment.
  • Manage case files and deadlines efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
  • Contribute to the firm’s practice expansion by taking on increasing levels of responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Active Bar membership in good standing, with current admission to practice law in Washington State.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience or interest in commercial or employment litigation is preferred but not required.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active Washington State Bar membership in good standing.

Skills:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication.
  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to handle sophisticated legal issues and litigation processes.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to case management.
