Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and draft various legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery materials pertaining to securities litigation cases.
  • Analyze intricate financial documents, such as SEC filings, financial statements, and trading records, to support case strategies.
  • Assist in preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials, including witness preparation and examination.
  • Collaborate closely with partners and senior attorneys to develop litigation strategies and provide sound legal counsel to clients.
  • Manage document review and electronic discovery processes efficiently, utilizing appropriate technology and resources.
  • Stay updated on developments in securities laws, regulations, and judicial decisions affecting client matters.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Bar admission in California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience practicing securities litigation at a reputable law firm.
  • Profound understanding of federal and state securities laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and legal documents effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling arbitration and mediation related to securities disputes.
  • Familiarity with financial markets, investment products, and corporate governance principles.
  • Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior associates or legal staff.
