Job Title: Senior Litigation Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm based in Miami, FL is seeking a highly experienced Senior Litigation Attorney to handle business and contract litigation matters at the trial and appellate levels in both state and federal courts. This role offers the opportunity to lead cases from inception to resolution, working closely with firm leadership while also overseeing the litigation process.

Duties:

• Handle legal cases from initiation to completion, including managing all litigation stages.
• Regularly communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in litigation.
• Conduct legal research, and draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and contracts.
• Attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials as required.
• Provide strategic and tactical guidance on litigation cases.
• Draft and argue dispositive motions and participate in evidentiary hearings.
• Conduct non-jury and, where applicable, jury trials.
• Offer mentoring and direction to junior attorneys and legal support staff.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in general and commercial litigation.
• Proven ability to handle litigation matters in both Florida state and federal courts.
• Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced legal environment.
• Strong ability to manage multiple cases and work independently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Must be an active member in good standing of The Florida Bar.

Certifications:

• Admission to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida is required.
