Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Land Use/Zoning and Environmental Associate Attorney to provide legal counsel and guidance on land use matters. Duties:

• Provide legal advice and representation to clients on land use, zoning, and environmental matters.
• Navigate clients through obtaining permits to ensure compliance with regulations and requirements.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on land use issues.
• Draft legal documents, including contracts, agreements, and permits.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings and court proceedings related to land use and zoning disputes.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
• 0-2 years of experience in land use, zoning, or environmental law preferred.
• Interest in land use and related areas of law such as real estate, zoning, and environmental law.
• Ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
• Strong decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited oversight and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.

Education and Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in New York.
