A law firm seeks a highly motivated and entrepreneurial Associate Attorney to join its dynamic legal team. This position is ideal for an attorney looking to expand their practice in a new geographic region or specialize in a practice area not currently covered by the firm. The successful candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong ability to build client relationships, manage case strategies, and contribute to the firm's overall growth.
Client Representation: Advocate for clients within a designated geographic area or practice specialty.
Case and Budget Management: Develop legal strategies, project service values, estimate fees and expenses, and maintain budget oversight for client matters.
Legal Advocacy: Represent clients in litigation, including court appearances, hearings, trials, and settlement negotiations.
Document Drafting & Research: Prepare pleadings, contracts, legal briefs, and other necessary legal documents.
Negotiation & Dispute Resolution: Work towards favorable resolutions through mediation, negotiation, and, when necessary, litigation.
Collaboration with Professionals: Work alongside CPAs, mental health professionals, and industry experts to support case objectives.
Business Development: Engage in networking, marketing efforts, and community involvement to expand the firm's litigation and transactional practices.
Ability to independently manage legal matters while working within a team-oriented firm structure.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
Technologically proficient and comfortable using legal case management and collaboration tools.
Ability to travel as needed for court appearances, client meetings, and professional networking.
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Ohio Bar (Required).
Strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
Effective time and task management in a high-paced legal environment.
Business development and client relationship management.
Proficiency in legal research, writing, and case preparation.
Ability to maintain professionalism and uphold ethical legal practices.
