Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Investment Funds Regulatory Associate Attorney with a strong background in asset management regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940 and experience in private equity and hedge fund formation.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and support on regulatory matters related to asset management.
  • Assist in the structuring and forming of private equity funds, hedge funds, and other investment vehicles.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including offering memoranda, fund agreements, and compliance policies.
  • Work closely with clients to address regulatory issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate fund launches and ongoing operations.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and regulatory changes affecting investment funds.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in asset management regulatory matters.
  • Strong understanding of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and the Investment Company Act of 1940.
  • Experience in private equity and hedge fund formation is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility for admission via reciprocity.
