Litigation Associate Attorney

A law firm seeks a litigation associate attorney to join its team in Phoenix, Arizona. The firm specializes in defending clients in auto, general liability, and premises liability cases. Duties

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters, focusing on auto, general liability, and premises liability cases.
• Handle all aspects of case management, including initial investigation, discovery, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal briefs, motions, and settlement agreements.
• Engage in depositions, court hearings, and trial advocacy as needed.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders to develop effective case strategies.
• Provide legal counsel to clients regarding case developments and potential resolutions.

Requirements

• 1-10 years of experience in civil litigation defense, with a focus on liability cases preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cases independently or as part of a team.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent verbal communication and courtroom advocacy skills.
• Self-motivated and able to handle multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Arizona Bar license preferred.
• Candidates licensed in other jurisdictions will be considered if they can obtain an Arizona Bar license promptly.
