Job Overview

A reputable law firm is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Finance Associate to join its Project & Energy group. The focus of the role is on energy transition financing matters, providing the opportunity to work on high-profile projects involving innovative financing deals in the renewable energy space. This position can be based in multiple offices across the United States.

Location

Duties

  • Handle transactions related to financing and mergers & acquisitions of energy transition projects and companies.
  • Focus on tax equity and renewable energy tax credit monetization.
  • Engage in complex financial structuring in the energy transition sector.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents related to energy financing transactions.
  • Provide strategic legal advice to clients in energy-related financial matters.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in energy transition finance matters.
  • Extensive experience with tax equity and renewable energy tax credit transactions.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated research and problem-solving abilities.
  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to practice law in the jurisdiction of the respective office location.
