Duties:

• Represent clients in all stages of litigation, from initiation to expert discovery, focusing on professional liability and labor and employment matters.
• Attend and represent clients at court hearings, depositions, case management conferences, and other legal proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and manage complex discovery investigations.
• Draft legal documents including discovery requests, motions, pleadings, case evaluation summaries, court orders, settlement agreements, and legal memoranda.
• Review discovery responses and deposition transcripts, and prepare litigation status reports and summaries.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve cases, aiming for favorable outcomes for clients.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing legal analysis, case updates, and advice throughout litigation.

Requirements:

• Prior litigation experience in New York is essential.
• Must be licensed to practice law in New York.
• Experience in drafting discovery documents, leading depositions, and arguing motions in court.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Proficiency in legal research software, including Lexis.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York State Bar.
