Attorney needed for Bend office

A law firm in Bend, OR, specializing in criminal defense, seeks an Attorney to join their team. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Oregon and will contribute to providing legal representation in criminal defense matters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in criminal proceedings in state and federal courts.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on criminal law issues.
• Draft legal documents, including motions, briefs, and pleadings.
• Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and appellate proceedings.
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements on behalf of clients.
• Advocate for clients' rights and interests throughout the legal process.
• Communicate effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Oregon State Bar and good standing.
• Prior experience in criminal defense law is preferred but not required.
• Strong advocacy and litigation skills.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
