Job Overview

A rapidly expanding law firm is seeking a motivated Personal Injury Attorney to join its growing Auto Accident Personal Injury Division in Cleveland, Ohio. This full-time role requires an attorney with experience in managing auto accident cases and a strong desire to contribute to a dynamic team. The position offers an opportunity to handle cases from start to finish, provide legal counsel to clients, and represent clients in litigation and settlement negotiations.

Duties

  • Manage personal injury case files from start to finish, ensuring thorough attention to detail at all stages.
  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients.
  • Draft, review, and modify legal documents such as claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, and memorandums.
  • Research relevant case law, premises liability, and gather supporting documents including insurance policies, medical records, and evidence.
  • Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance adjusters, medical providers, and other parties to gather information and develop case strategies.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients when appropriate.
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, mediations, depositions, and other legal proceedings.
  • Document and update the status of case files in the firm’s case management system.
  • Supervise and manage a team of paralegals and legal assistants, providing guidance and support.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active membership in the Ohio State Bar.
  • 3-7 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on Auto Accident Personal Injury cases.
  • Strong client-facing experience and the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
  • Ability to manage a caseload, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with case management and the ability to handle multiple clients and projects concurrently.
  • Experience in mediation is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel and case management software is a plus.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active membership in the Ohio State Bar or eligibility to practice in Ohio.
