A law firm in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a dedicated Workers’ Compensation Attorney with 3-6 years of experience, ideally on the defense side. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling Ohio workers’ compensation matters, including general discovery matters. The role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong writing and legal research skills, and the ability to work independently. Duties and Responsibilities

• Handle workers’ compensation cases from start to finish, including managing a caseload independently.
• Conduct general discovery matters, including taking depositions, interviewing witnesses, and responding to written discovery.
• Prepare and file legal motions, briefs, and other necessary documents related to workers’ compensation cases.
• Develop and implement case strategies, including client consultation and advice.
• Perform legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
• Maintain detailed case files and ensure accurate documentation.
• Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines and handle multiple cases simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain client relationships, demonstrating an entrepreneurial growth mindset for client development and practice management.

Requirements

• 3-6 years of experience handling workers’ compensation matters in Ohio, preferably on the defense side.
• Strong experience with general discovery matters, including depositions, witness interviews, and written discovery.
• Ability to work independently on an assigned caseload with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Excellent writing and legal research skills.
• Efficient time-management skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.
