Job Overview:
A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel with a minimum of five years of experience in high-net-worth wealth planning to join its West Coast Private Wealth Planning Group in the Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in estate, gift, and GST tax planning strategies, with strong drafting and project management skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on complex estate planning matters with high-profile clients.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Advise high-net-worth clients on estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) tax planning strategies.
  • Independently draft complex estate planning documents.
  • Manage large-scale wealth planning projects and ensure timely execution.
  • Collaborate with clients' external advisors, including financial planners, accountants, and tax professionals.
  • Provide legal counsel on matters involving trusts, estates, and tax planning.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing tailored solutions to meet their wealth planning goals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in high-net-worth wealth planning.
  • Extensive experience in estate, gift, and GST tax planning strategies.
  • Independent drafting experience in estate planning.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to handle large client matters.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interface with clients and collaborate with their outside advisors.
  • Law firm or accounting firm experience preferred.
  • Experience or completion of a related LL.M. program preferred.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to and good standing with the California Bar.
