A law firm in Goose Creek, SC is seeking a skilled Real Estate Closing Attorney to oversee and manage residential and commercial real estate transactions. The successful candidate will handle the closing process for sales and refinances, work closely with various stakeholders to facilitate transactions, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of all legal documentation. This position offers the opportunity to build and grow business relationships while providing exceptional client service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage residential and commercial real estate transactions, including sales and refinances.
  • Review title reports and resolve any issues to ensure a clear transfer of property.
  • Collaborate with lenders, brokers, agents, buyers, and sellers to facilitate smooth and efficient transactions.
  • Draft, review, and finalize loan documents, including contracts, deeds, leases, and purchase and sale agreements.
  • Deliver a professional and engaging experience to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Review disbursement ledgers and sign checks as required.
  • Develop and cultivate business relationships to enhance the firm’s client base and reputation.
  • Conduct training sessions for clients on relevant areas of real estate law and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship in real estate matters, with training available for candidates with less residential experience.

Requirements:

  • Member in good standing of the South Carolina State Bar.
  • Residential real estate experience preferred; the firm is willing to train the right candidate with relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to manage real estate closings efficiently and accurately.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and other professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple transactions and meet deadlines.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
