Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Real Estate Transactions and Finance Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be crucial in handling various aspects of real estate transactions, demonstrating expertise in acquisitions, dispositions, exchanges, leasing, financing, construction, development, joint ventures, secured loans, and workouts.

Duties:

  • Negotiate and draft closing purchase and sale agreements, commercial and ground leases, subleases, development agreements, construction contracts, property management agreements, and other real estate transaction documents.
  • Provide broad expertise in real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, exchanges, ground leasing, commercial leasing, financing, construction, development, joint ventures, secured loans, and workouts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in joint venture and project finance, offering valuable insights to enhance the firm's capabilities.
  • Conduct legal research, compile comprehensive reports, and effectively communicate findings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of real estate transaction experience.
  • Bar membership in good standing in New York.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Proven experience in negotiating and drafting various real estate transaction documents.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a strong emphasis on collaboration.
  • Effective and efficient problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and proactively.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficient in negotiating and drafting various real estate transaction documents.
