A law firm based in Asheville, NC, is actively seeking a skilled attorney to join its team in the pre-litigation phase of personal injury cases. This position offers an opportunity to work with a dynamic legal team focused on client advocacy and delivering high-quality service. The role provides a blend of office and hybrid/remote work flexibility, depending on the candidate’s preferences.

Duties:

  • Oversee medical case management, including case evaluations, coordination with subject matter experts, and negotiating settlements.

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, ensuring their needs are met and the firm’s high standards are upheld.

  • Collaborate on strategic negotiation approaches, serving as a mentor for case managers and other direct reports.

  • Work closely with firm leadership to enhance case outcomes and operational efficiency.

  • Provide support for high-priority cases as assigned by senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personal injury law.

  • Active membership in the North Carolina Bar Association.

  • Membership in the South Carolina Bar Association is a plus.

  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are highly preferred.

  • Strong writing, research, and negotiation skills.

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with computer systems.

  • Experience with case management software such as Needles Neos is beneficial.

  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and public speaking abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Active NC Bar membership is required.

  • SC Bar membership is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in case management and legal research.

  • Skilled in negotiations and settlement strategy.
