Job Overview: A growing law firm in East Brunswick, NJ, is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with at least two years of experience to join its team. The ideal candidate will have experience in personal injury and/or medical malpractice cases, with familiarity in employment law considered a plus. This role offers the opportunity to handle a range of legal responsibilities, from depositions to trial preparation, in a supportive and dynamic legal environment.

Location:

Duties:

  • Take and defend depositions in personal injury, medical malpractice, and employment law cases.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Prepare for and attend arbitration hearings and trials.
  • Argue motions and attend hearings in court.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure effective representation.
  • Manage multiple cases simultaneously, maintaining organization and meeting deadlines.
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the case process.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience handling personal injury and/or medical malpractice cases.
  • Experience in employment law is a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Experience in preparing and responding to discovery demands and filing motions.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New Jersey Bar.

Skills:

  • Familiarity with New Jersey personal injury law and legal procedures.
